About the CD:
This 11 track recording is a studio effort with 8 new originals, plus a song Andy wrote long ago for a Swiss rock band (Sweetheart of Stone) and a fresh take on two of their previously recorded songs (Water and Mara Manzoor). Forever unable to stick to a specific genre, Andy and Ariana have concocted this collection from country-folk, world, jazz and reggae sounds. Lyrically the album sticks relatively close to home with songs like Good to Be Home - a folky duet about the joys of being at home, The Woodstove - what happens to one's mind after getting a woodstove for their house, Oh Baby! - inspired by a certain new baby in the neighbourhood, and Nova Scotian Ocean. Another brand new song, Le Chef est Mort, has french lyrics by local poet/novelist Sophie Bérubé, from her La trombe sacrée collection. Mara Manzoor, written by Ariana's father, is sung in Dari (a dialect of Persian). Home is also a central theme in his song.

The CD features special guests Adam Bazinet (drums), Chris Robison (bass), Ken Shorley (percussion on Le Chef est Mort and Mara Manzoor) and Ryan Hupman (pedal steel guitar on River of Living, Roll the Dice and Nova Scotian Ocean), enhancing Andy and Ariana's regular mélange of voice, guitar, (vocal) percussion, fiddle and saxophone (and a little clarinet and harmonica just for fun).

Adam Bazinet, Chris Robison and Ken Shorley will be performing with Andy and Ariana at the CD release concert.

Tickets are available in advance at the Rolled Oat Cafe (420 Main St. Wolfville) for $12. They will be $15 at the door if still available at that time.
